Palenville The Hamlet invites all Palenville area artists to join us for a local art exhibition in The Clark House B&B barn located in the heart of the hamlet. This 2-day art event on August 25-26, 2018, celebrates the town’s historic role as the place where American Art began.
As the area's Scenic Gateway into the Catskills, Palenville was an inspiration to the Hudson River School of painters and continues to attract artists, writers, musicians and others using various forms of artistic expression.
This show is coordinated with the Kaaterskill Craft Fair at the Circle W Market, a continuing summer event held in the barn behind the Market.

Submissions:
1) Each artist must register by completing a short Artist Registration Form (click here).
2) Each artist should email a jpg(s) showing 1 or 2 pieces of artwork submitted for the August show.
The jpg images should be smaller than 1 MB each. A good rule of thumb is to set the image resolution to 72 ppi and keep the long dimension of the image under 1024 pixels. Files should be titled as follows: firstName_lastName _ImageTitle.jpg
3) Each artist may send an artist statement but it is not required.
Artists will receive an acknowledgement by email when the registration form is received. Artists may request a table to sell additional artwork, however, each artist is responsible for manning their own table or providing a volunteer. The exhibition organizers are not responsible for any additional artwork or for selling work apart from the 1-2 pieces in the show.
There may be opportunities for art demonstrations, sidewalk chalk art, music and more. Bring your own ideas to this community event and let us know what you'd like to do!
