PAINT OUT

Painters are invited to come paint and the public can discover art being made. The freshly finished paintings will be on display and can be purchased for $100. Half of the proceeds support the Hidden Gallery Walk 2017 and $50 goes to the painter.

On Saturday morning, Painters Check in at the Library in Palenville. Artists receive a canvas, a goodie bag and a choice of locations in Palenville or along Kaaterskill Creek.

Sunday registration continues for new painters. All paintings are turned in by 1 pm at Palenville's Fire Hall for the PAINT OUT CLOSING Reception. The Reception will be from 1-3pm and feature the music of singer/songwriter, Abby Lappen.

Paintings sell for $100, part of proceeds support the Hidden Gallery Walk 2017. Artists  have the option to post their paintings online for 1 month after the PAINT OUT and enjoy the opportunity to promote their website.

OPEN STUDIOS IN PALENVILLE

Four local artists will host an OPEN STUDIO for visitors on Saturday, June 25, from 12 - 5 pm and on Sunday, June 26, from 12 - 4pm. Please drop in to see potter Christine Margolias, painter Sandy Smith, painters Terrance DePietro and Nicole Lemelin to see where they live and work. A map will be available at Circle W, Story Farms and the Palenville Library.

Abby Lappen is a Hudson Valley singer/songwriter who displays her passion for live musical performance with a collection of original songs and meaningful covers in a cross genre mix, from haunting folk and satirical blues to jazzy ballads and syncopated melodies. Abby is an accomplished artist whose unique voice and "crisp guitar" mesmerize audiences with warmth and agility.
