Celebrate
Palenville's Art History in a Really Big (Tiny) Way!

Aug 1-22, 2021

A Self-guided tour of 6 Tiny Art Galleries around the Hamlet

Pick up a map and roam around Palenville to find the brightly painted tiny art galleries full of treasures. Local artists have created tiny works of art that are free for the taking. Yes, for free!

On the back of each piece, you'll see the artist's name and a web address so you can see more of their work, full size and for sale.

Maps are available at Circle W Market and Story Farms or online here.

PALENVILLE is an enchanting hamlet at the base of the glorious Kaaterskill Clove, a scenic parting of the mountains lined with countless waterfalls and swimming holes, lush green trees and mossy boulders. Another name for Palenville is "the village of falling waters" as described in the legend of Rip Van Winkle, a fictional citizen of the hamlet. This neighborhood was portrayed by the landscape painters of the Hudson River School, who stayed here while capturing the ethereal scenery of America's Catskill Mountains.
